The declaration of emergency on the education sector was a deliberate decision of His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, on his inauguration day, to begin practical journey to revitalize the education sector from decades of neglect and insurgency
Consequently, on 1st July, 2019, an Education Summit was convened by the Yobe State Government to work out recommendation to revitalise Basic and Secondary Education in the state
To further demonstrate this commitment, the Executive Governor on 2nd July, 2019, constituted a Technical Committee to fashion out recommendations from the summit for the revitalization of the Education sector.
